Murmuration

 The ebbing and the flowing

The coming and the going

The inning and the outing

The screaming and the shouting

 

The loving and the hating

The getting and the waiting

The living and the dying

The laughter and the crying

 

The moving and the staying

The hiding and displaying

The sleeping and the waking

Destruction and the making

 

The love I have is ready

The hand I have is steady

I wait for kind elation

I fly, sweet murmuration.
