Unsettled Soul
My heart still travels
So many miles
Goes nowhere then turns
And reflects for a while.
Uncertain direction
Everywhere my heart goes
Until I find peace
An unsettled soul.
Until there is calmness
Until I really know
Until you come with me
An unsettled soul.
Far in the distance
Your eyes shine so bright
Here, I think of you
To hold you in the night.
But I’ll settle for growing
For learning, then I’ll know
God help teach me patience
With my unsettled soul.
Help me believe
There will come my time
For direction and sureness
After all of these miles.
So I travel this distance
And I travel alone
God please teach me patience
I’m an unsettled soul.
